Street Outreach Worker Location: York Region (Blue Door Shelter Offices) Closing Date: January 7, 2022, 12noon

In partnership with the Blue Door Shelters, Na-Me-Res will be expanding their services to the York Region. This role will be housed in the Blue Door Shelter offices and will liaise with the Blue Door Shelter staff to connect with Indigenous clients. The Outreach Worker will provide comprehensive outreach support and case management services to Indigenous people in the York region.

The Health Case Manager is a member of the Mino Kaanjigoowiin team, a housing First intensive case management team working with Indigenous clients who experience chronic mental health and addiction issues. This program is a part of the Na-Me-Res (Native Men’s Residence) range of programs working with clients experiencing homelessness.

Content development, researched, fact checked, and referenced information, Develop slide deck with presentation notes, manage and store information in an organized way, Deliver/present content in person and virtually (possibly co-present) Work directly with Na-Me-Res clients to empower them to share their experiences and develop content outlines that will support them in presenting content. Outreach to service organizations that would benefit from Indigenous knowledge exchange Build on existing relationships and use the networking resources for other Na-Me-Res programs to build new relationships to deliver training Develop and complete evaluation
