Job Development

Na-Me-Res has developed its Enji Nkwaa-Ngzed: (Ojibwa: "where to find a job") Job Development Program in order to assist the homeless and our current and former residents in securing employment. We believe that providing employment-related assistance directly to those most in need, greatly increases and enhances their chances at securing meaningful employment. Those who are interested in employment skills upgrading, attending school, or any other employment related training programs are provided with the information and resources that are necessary to get them started.

In order to help clients find employment, Na-Me-Res provides access to computers, a fax machine, photocopier, internet access, phone, voicemail, written resource materials and up-to-date job postings at our Employment Referral Officier Office (14 Vaughan Rd.). Our Employment Officer, Elaine Cote, is available to assist anyone with developing a resume/cover letter, operating computers, and conducting job searches and strategies for finding employment. Workshops on employment related topics are provided to Na-Me-Res's current and former residents.

Since our programs are non-profit, donations of work boots, helmets, and computers, would be greatly appreciated so that we can keep our resources and training materials be kept up-to-date. Charitable tax receipts are available for your kind donations.
