Welcome
Na-Me-Res provides a 61 male bed shelter (at 14 Vaughan Rd.), and Tumivut provides a 40 youth bed shelter (at 26 Vaughan Rd.) to house and serve the needs of homeless individuals in Toronto. Our objective is to reduce the number of homeless and to prevent those at risk of becoming homeless, by equipping them with the tools of empowerment, self-reliance, and economic independence. Our Mission Statement Na-Me-Res (Native Men's Residence) and Tumivut (Our Footprints) are temporary homes for men and youth respectively, which foster and maintain a healthy sense of community, cooperation and self-worth through the promotion of Traditional Native Culture and Values. We endeavour to build a strong foundation for our clients on their road to recovery and self-sufficiency. |
